Chungcheongnam-do

Chungcheongnam-do is is a region located in mid-west and composed of mostly fertile plains.

The region is a vital transportation hub connecting Seoul with the southern region by both rail and road. Due to this strategic location, Chungcheongnam-do has always been an important center that the temples and memorial tombs are evidences of this historical background. The famous Boryeong Mud Festival takes places on the beach every summer. Chungcheongnam-do also offers a variety of modern hot springs facilities.
